Kayo Bracey Looking to Make Some Moves!
A native of Greensboro, NC, Dakota “Kayo” Bracey could always be found Free-Styling at the dinner table or making tackles on the football field. He became a member of a rap group called “Official Combination” , which featured a few up and coming artists from neighboring high schools. In the 9th grade the group released a mixtape which sold over 500 copies around the area. It was at this time, that Kayo knew he had a gift. While a student at Northeast Guilford High School, Dakota was named as the school’s “Male Athlete of the Year”, and was an All-State, All-County, and All-Area performer in multiple sports.
Due to his efforts, he was awarded an athletic scholarship to Morgan State University. After locking down receivers at his Cornerback position for four seasons and receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Kayo returned to his grass roots in North Carolina. Once Kayo arrived back in NC, he continued to play football & pursue music. While playing for the Carolina Bulls in a local league, Kayo was named as the Team’s Defensive Player of the Year and Defensive Back of The Year. Kayo however, realized that he could not continue to juggle sports and music. He decided to throw all of his energy into music. Bracey has embarked on a huge journey to provoke positivity in Music, and to make songs for “The Common Man”. His most popular song to date, “Rebirth: Hardest Man Alive” has graced the radio air ways in several different markets including San Diego, Atlanta, Canada and many more. He followed up this performance with another banger entitled “KJ’s Product” which also graced the airwaves on over 25 radio stations and was featured on over 30 blog sites. Kayo has had the opportunity to grace the stage with some of hip hop’s biggest stars including: Travis Porter, Wale, Big Daddy Kane, Petey Pablo, David Banner & many more. Kayo is a two time award winning artist. He was named as NC’s New Artist of the Year in 2011, and was named as Featured Highlights Male Rap Artist of The Year. He is the CEO of Take Off Team ENT, as well as the founder of “Hardest Man Alive” apparel. His latest album “Small Victories” is currently available on all major digital outlets.
