FUTURA 2000 X THE WEEKND MERCH IS COMING TO NYC
Starboy teams up with the legendary graffiti writer
Toronto and New York are coming together this weekend through an XO merchandise collaboration with the legendary graffiti writer Futura 2000.
Announced earlier this year in April, this special collaboration coincides with The Weeknd’s Starboy Legend of the Fall World Tour. The merchandise available include a hat, a hoodie, T-shirts, a long sleeve, a bomber and even a skateboard deck. All the merchandise features the iconic handstyle of the pioneering New York City graffiti writer Futura 2000. Take a look at some of these items designed by one of the masters of the art below.
The New York pop-up will be held from June 3 to June 7 at Concepts NYC on 225 Hudson Street. The Weeknd’s tour will also make a stop in town that week at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Those shows are on June 6 and 7 and will also feature performances by Rae Sremmurd, Belly and 6lack.
With flee merchandise being dropped from nearly every artist in the game I feel sorry for those with little self control watching their bank account hit zero. However, seeing how Futura 2000 has collaborated with hyped-up streetwear brands like Supreme and Bathing Ape, this merchandise might be heavily sought after. You can check out the full info for the pop up below and decide if its worth waiting in line to blow your most recent paycheck.
